From the moment we arrived in Pristina, we were warmly welcomed. The openness of the people and the vibrant atmosphere immediately made it clear that a special study visit was ahead of us.
The first day began with an interactive Digital Hunt workshop, during which we explored Pristina and tasted traditional local food. In the evening, an intercultural gathering offered the opportunity to share cultures, learn from one another, and build new connections.
On the second day, we visited Mitrovica, where we gained deeper insight into Kosovo’s history and experienced the city’s symbolic division between the Kosovo-Albanian and Kosovo-Serbian parts. Both sides impressively reflected cultural depth and resilience. The third day focused on youth and education. Visits to schools, NGOs, and the Deçan Youth Facility showed how actively young people in Kosovo are shaping their future.
A particularly meaningful moment was the visit to the Visoki Dečani Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has stood for over 600 years and impressed us with its peaceful atmosphere and beauty. In Prizren, we discovered one of the country’s richest cultural cities, exchanged experiences with local organizations, and enjoyed traditional cuisine. The final day was dedicated to networking and exchanging ideas with youth organizations in order to build sustainable cooperation. The journey concluded with a traditional dinner, bringing together moments of connection, learning, and unforgettable experiences. Kosovo, with its history, people, and diversity, will remain in our memories for a long time.
